Filler and field tiles are the plain and lightly-textured panels — Blank, Brick, Bumpy, Cross-Hatch, and Diamond Plate — used to fill the space between patterned tiles or to create a clean, industrial look on their own. American-made from tin-plated steel, ready for nail-up or drop-in installation.

Why field and filler tiles matter

Every patterned tin ceiling needs field tiles to complete the layout around the edges and between motifs — but plain and textured panels are also a design choice in their own right. On their own they deliver the authenticity of real tin with a clean, modern, or industrial feel — the same tin-plated steel and the same finish options as our most ornate patterns, in their simplest form.

Best rooms and applications

Use fillers to complete any patterned ceiling, or use field tiles solo for industrial lofts, modern farmhouses, commercial and retail interiors, garages and workshops, and accent walls. Diamond Plate in particular suits industrial and garage aesthetics.

The field and filler patterns

  • Pattern 140 — Blank: a perfectly smooth panel.
  • Pattern 141 — Brick: a subtle brick-coursed texture.
  • Pattern 142 — Bumpy Filler: a soft all-over texture.
  • Pattern 143 — Cross Hatch Filler: a fine woven texture.
  • Pattern 144 — Diamond Plate: industrial tread-plate look.

Finishes and installation

Available unfinished (great for a raw, mill-finish industrial look) or powder-coated. Nail-up or drop-in. Powder-coated orders have a 20-tile-per-color minimum.
